Richard's first morels of the season

We've been hearing about other people's morel hunting successes, but this is Richard's first of the season.  He spotted some last night under a dead elm, but just beyond a hot fence - I'm not getting anymore specific about location than that! 

Chef Katie is super excited & I can't wait to taste what she does with them.  And what is that beautiful shell shaped, feathery spotted shroom?
